I chose 4 star because I didn't really believe their personality clashes in the beginning because it felt forced by the author not true to the character. But as the story processed the issues allowed for real character growth which is good. I loved that the side characters also had back story and growth as well throughout the story. It allowed me to care about them, too. About the time I thought the issues were solved, a real curve ball is thrown. I encourage all readers to stick it out to the end, you'll be glad you did. I'm not sure if this falls under erotica, but I wouldn't consider it so. It doesn't fade to black but also doesn't give an anatomy lesson which is good, the writer trust the reader so that sex is about the emotions of the characters and not what specifically went where. To the writer, great job, maybe work on giving characters a little more distinctive voice at times I had to slow down to know who was speaking and remember who "I" was. Its not your typical love story. Oh sure, boy meets girl, boy falls in love...but really is it ever that easy? No, it's not, and Rybicki proves that by taking us through the twists and turns of the most unconventional blossoming relationship. The roller coaster ride of emotions will keep you turning the pages of the story as you experience layer after layer of complexity in the main characters. The quirkiness of best friends and family give a welcome lightness to the intensity of this unlikely love story. Looking forward to what this new author releases next!
I really enjoyed this read! I wasn't sure what to expect but was hooked right away. The journey this couple made in their relationship was so enjoyable to witness and be apart of. I went through a range of emotions while reading this story and a great satisfaction at the end! I love good endings and this was great!
This book starts off with a somewhat typical rich, handsome guy falls for ordinary girl scenario. However, this story is no typical romance. The lead characters meet under unusual circumstances and their relationship develops as they deal with some very personal, painful situations (handled with great sensitivity by the author) that test not only their relationship, but who they are as individuals. The secondary characters are engaging, and their stories add an interesting component to the plot. It's an enjoyable story that's definitely worth reading.
Sometimes it's hard to get your head out of one book, and focus on a character. Loved that I was able to connect with the characters. To the point of frustration and irritation with their decisions that elicit a reaction that makes you remind yourself it's only fiction. Great story.

Love, love, love it! I can't tell you how many books I have started and put down because I lost interest in them. This book drew me in from the get go. TC Rybicki has a way of story telling that will have you experiencing emotions on so many levels. You will be laughing, crying, angry, and hopeful by the end of this great read. I didn't want the story to end. The many dimensions of the characters in this nontraditional love story are real and they deal with difficult and challenging issues along the way that will cause you to relate on a deeper level which gives way to true connection with the characters. This book is worth the read it will not disappoint. Now I am left patiently waiting to see what she turns out next. I will definitely be following this author.

From the first moment Chet lays eyes on Penny, he's hooked. From the first page of this unusual romance, I was hooked.
The path for the couple twists and turns but there's no turning back. This story grabs you and takes you through all the hairpin curves while you hang on, biting your nails and frantically reading faster to see what happens next.
I was totally fulfilled at the end, while still wishing there was more. Excellent work from TC Rybicki and I look forward to more unique storytelling from her.
Want a bit of Angst mixed right through with your Love story ..Then The Price of Penny is for you !
TC Rybicki gives you a whole lots of emotions in this story ..
You'll laugh... cry... scream... your heart will break .. You'll yell at the characters and want to shake them out of their stupidity at times .. and then you will be in awe of them .
The story of Chet and Penny grabs you right in the feels and doesn't let you go ...
It's a tale of how life gives them struggles and how they work their way to overcome them ...
From start to finish this book is truly a wonderful read ..
